Example UI Spec: Editing Bubs
By Ellen Isaacs
This page last updated: January 27, 2000

To edit a bub, users simply go to the Bub Edit screen, which looks just like the permissions screen they used when they added the bub. To get to the Edit screen from the main screen, the user taps on the name of the bub, which brings up the Bub screen, shown in Figure P25 (and explained more fully in the SIM section).

From the Bub screen, the user taps "Edit," which brings up the Edit screen, shown in Figure P26. The user can change the group by selecting another group from the menu, and they can check or uncheck any of the preferences. When they tap Done, the changes take effect. If they tap Cancel, they return to the Bub screen with no changes effected.

To remove a bub from the list, the user taps the "Delete" button, which brings up a popup asking them to confirm that they want to remove the bub. It says "Do you want to remove {bub name}? Doing so will also remove you from their Hubbub." The choices are "Delete" or "Cancel."

If a user wants to change permissions globally, i.e. to all the Bubs in their Hubbub, they can do so from a single Privacy screen, shown in Figure P27. This screen is reached from the Privacy item under the Hubbub menu.
